Autumn has finally arrived and with it comes all the beautiful colours on the trees as they change, along with lovely mild sunny days and cooler nights.

The countryside is still dry and parched and in desperate need of some good soaking rain, but hopefully that will be on the horizon before too long.

I think autumn is probably my favourite season at South Cathedral Farm as the weather is more stable and you can enjoy outdoor living to its fullest.

Long walks along South Cathedral Lane with your four-legged friend are a delight at this time of year, and autumn evenings are perfect for getting cosy and warm in front of the open fire with a good book and a glass of something special, and just chilling out.

It’s a great time to get out in the bush too – you could do some bush walks in the Cathedral Ranges State Park, or check out the Marysville State Forest walking trails, or even just meander along the river paths in Buxton or in Marysville.

Coming up this autumn we have the Murrindindi Winemakers‘ weekend on 4 and 5 May, where a number of our wonderful local winemakers have opened up their properties and cellar doors to welcome visitors to come along and try their wares and enjoy their special parts of our local region too.

So if you are ready for a break away in the country contact us now and book yourself in for some R&R!
