About Us
Where it all began
Our story…
Country Cottages at South Cathedral Farm began as the dream of a ‘Tree change’ for owners Megan Buntine and Marty Slade.
In 2000 they stumbled across 40 acres of vacant land in the foothills of the Cathedral Ranges near Buxton, and Megan knew she had finally found her lavender farm!
Over the next three years, the couple set about transforming their property into a home for themselves and a sanctuary for visitors, and in 2003 their combined lavender farming and holiday cottages business won the award for Best New Tourism Business at the Regional Tourism Awards.
The lavender farm is no longer, but this beautiful rural retreat continues to offer peace and tranquillity to all who come to stay.
